Make Me Brave For Life
Great White Spirit, Father/Mother of all life,
Make me brave for the life You have given me.
Help me to straighten after pain,
The way trees do after each rain,
Like grass that’s been blown down,
Let me rise from sorrow with an inner vision
That’s opened and knows
That Your ways are always wise.
When life brings blinding things,
Help me to remain focussed on
Looking forwards and upwards,
Never back,
Safe in the knowledge that behind
The darkness of humankind’s earthly existence
Your light has always been waiting
To eventually reveal our true nature to us,
The part of our being that’s only interested in
That which is good, right and beautiful.
