Deep Peace
Deep peace of the open prairie and the wind-swept sky,
The flowing rivers, quiet valleys and noble trees,
Standing stalwart and true on the mountain side,
Steady through the winds of life.
Great Spirit, Father/Mother of all life,
By whatever name anyone may call You,
You are always there.
May Your peace dwell within each one of us,
To take us back into the conscious awareness
Of our eternal oneness with You.
Provide us with the courage and strength
To overcome everything that is ugly and evil in our world
And transmute it into something beautiful and good.
